StageWing Equipment Rental Refund Policy
At StageWing, we strive to ensure that every piece of equipment provided through our platform meets high standards of functionality and reliability. However, we understand that issues may occasionally arise. Below is our policy for refunds in cases where equipment does not work as expected.
1. Eligibility for a Refund
A renter may be eligible for a refund under the following conditions:
- The equipment is non-functional upon receipt and cannot be used as intended.
- The issue is reported to StageWing within 24 hours of receiving the equipment.
- The renter has attempted basic troubleshooting steps as recommended by StageWing or the equipment provider (if applicable).
2. Reporting Non-Functional Equipment
To initiate a refund request, renters must:
- Contact StageWing’s support team at rentals@stagewing.com or via our app/website within 24 hours of identifying the issue.
- Provide the following details:
- Description of the problem.
- Photos or videos demonstrating the issue.
- Confirmation of any troubleshooting steps attempted.
3. Refund Options
If the equipment is confirmed to be non-functional and the issue cannot be resolved, renters will be offered the following options:
- Partial Refund: If the equipment is partially functional and can still be used for some purposes, renters may be eligible for a partial refund, determined on a case-by-case basis.
- Full Refund: If the equipment is entirely non-functional and no alternative solution is available, renters will receive a full refund of the rental fee.
4. Resolution Timeline
- StageWing will investigate all refund requests within 3 business days of receiving a report.
- If additional time is needed (e.g., to consult with the equipment provider), renters will be notified promptly.
5. Exclusions
Refunds will not be granted in the following scenarios:
- Issues arising from renter misuse, negligence, or failure to follow proper operating instructions.
- Problems reported after the equipment rental period ends.
- Normal wear and tear that does not impact functionality.
- Cosmetic damages that do not affect the equipment’s performance.
6. Responsibility of Equipment Providers
Equipment providers are expected to ensure that all listed items are in working order before delivery. If a refund is issued due to non-functional equipment, the provider may be held responsible for the refund amount as per StageWing’s terms and conditions.
7. Replacement Option
If available, StageWing will make reasonable efforts to provide a replacement item of similar quality and functionality during the rental period. In such cases, refunds may not apply.
8. Payment of Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5-7 business days of resolution.
StageWing Inclement Weather Policy
At StageWing, we understand that unforeseen weather conditions, such as rain, can impact the success of outdoor events. To provide clarity and fairness to both parties, we have established the following rain policy for events:
- Cancellation Due to Rain/Inclement Weather (72–48 Hours Prior to Event)
- If an event must be canceled due to inclement weather/rain within 72 hours but more than 48 hours before the event start time, StageWing will issue a refund of 50% of the total payment. The remaining 50% will be retained to cover the costs associated with booking and preparing the equipment.

Cancellation Due to Rain/Inclement Weather (Less Than 48 Hours Prior to Event)
- If an event is canceled due to inclement weather/rain within 48 hours of the scheduled start time, no refund will be issued. This is due to the significant logistical and preparation costs that are incurred at this stage.

Rescheduling Options
- In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather/rain, customers are encouraged to reschedule the event if possible. StageWing will make every effort to accommodate rescheduled bookings based on equipment and personnel availability.

Inclement Weather / Rain Checks
- For events that are canceled due to inclement weather/rain and fall outside of the 48-hour window, StageWing may offer a rain check or credit towards future rentals, subject to availability and at our discretion.
Please note that this policy applies to cancellations specifically due to rain or adverse weather conditions. All other cancellations are subject to our standard cancellation policy. This policy is in place to ensure fairness while covering operational costs. Thank you for understanding.
